Schmetz Needles Guide For Color Indicators

Updated: Jun 5

Schmetz makes it easy to determine both what type of needle you're sewing with and the size. They have color indicators on their home sewing machine needles. Find the color code on their home sewing needles and match it to the guide to figure out your needle specifications. Most Schmetz Home Sewing Needles have two bands of color – the top color band indicates needle type and the bottom color band indicates needle size. Please note that Schmetz Universal, Hemstitch, Double Eye, and Quick Threading needles only have one color band to identify needle size.
